Stop the sale of any part of Yosemite National Park. A quarter-mile parcel on the park's western border may sound minor, but handing it to a private developer sets a precedent that no public land is safe. Abraham Lincoln established in 1864 that Yosemite "shall be held for public use, resort, and recreation; shall be inalienable for all time." That word — inalienable — means something. The Trump administration isn't just threatening one parcel. It has already cut the National Park Service workforce by 24%, slashed regional park spending by 68% while funneling $100 million more toward Washington DC vanity projects, and opened sacred sites like Chaco Canyon to fracking. These are not budget decisions. They are a systematic transfer of public wealth to private interests. Yosemite belongs to every American alive today and every generation that follows. Vote against any legislation enabling this land sale and demand a full reversal of National Park Service funding cuts.
