Plug in your phones and listen to your constituents. Do it now. The fact is that it is your job to listen to us, and it is appalling that you have apparently abandoned that duty at the first sign of it being inconvenient and uncomfortable for you. Our country is crumbling and an unappointed, unelected foreign national is ransacking our treasury and illegally deletes state agencies, and you disconnect your phones so you don't have to listen to how upset people are at this? It is not a problem with the switchboard in general - calls to my representative in the House go through just fine. I am forced to assume that you have done this deliberately. That is sheer moral cowardice. You are all adults and supposedly representatives of the people, and it is your job to come up with a solution and actually do your job. I expect restoration of phone service shortly.
