I’m am writing to urge you to use your position to stop the building of what is known as “Alligator Alcatraz”. This is a proposed facility to be used to house so called “illegal immigrants”, until they can be deported. 1.This is being done without an “environmental impact” investigation and determination of “need”.  2. Since approximately 200,000* have already been deported, there should be plenty of existing facilities, throughout the US, and no need to waste federal monies on this project. (* Reuters reported that the Trump administration had deported around 200,000) 3. These funds should be used to offset other proposed cuts directly impacting citizens.  Thusly, I urge you to use your position, as my elected representative, to immediately stop this action.
