REJECT additional cuts to critical programs and services that would compound the DEVASTATING cuts YOU voted for in the recent budget reconciliation bill. At a time when far too many families are struggling to stay afloat — paying more for everything from groceries to rent to health care — YOUR FAILURE to address pending health care and food assistance cuts threatens to pull the rug out from under them when they can least afford it.
I am outraged that YOU have chosen to prioritize massive tax breaks to corporations and the wealthy over the health and lives of the constituents you pledged to protect.
I demand you DEFEND the families, children, senior citizens, and all people who rely on these basic needs programs by:
- Supporting funding levels consistent with FY24 funding to anti-poverty programs and nondefense discretionary public services without poison pill policy riders in the FY26 appropriation bills
- Demanding support for ACA premium tax credits and rolling back Medicaid and SNAP cuts as a condition to supporting the continuing resolution
