Don’t cave on bodily autonomy and the right to quality healthcare to keep a fascist administration funded. The budget negotiations and looming government shut down have many convinced that Democratic leadership will capitulate to Trump on trans healthcare rights. Don’t you dare give an inch. This is a conflict not over a disposable 1% of the population, as Dem strategists seem to believe again and again, it is a conflict over bodily autonomy, equal rights, and healthcare itself. If you negotiate and cave you have sacrificed all of our rights to ill-defined arbitrary categorizations that can always shift or move. Have fortitude. Do what’s right. Don’t budge an inch on bodily autonomy, when you sacrifice the rights of some, you are relinquishing the rights of all. Please, urge your colleagues and party leadership to do the right thing. If it means a government shutdown the Republicans will take the heat. Spam press with Trump previously saying a shutdown is the president’s fault. Thank you for your service.
