No more school shootings
To: Rep. Cohen
From: A constituent in Bartlett, TN
August 27, 2025
To whom it may concern, In the wake of yet another tragic mass shooting I write you, urging that you show support for stronger gun control. In particular, bipartisan bills like the one initially led by Senators Manchin (WV) and Toomey (PA) back in 2013, are clear ways to improve the way we regulate guns in our country through the expansion and strengthening of background checks. Law abiding citizens can maintain the right to bear arms even under these enhanced safety measures. There is no infringement on freedom. The fact that we’ve made no progress on gun control reform in years is a strong indication that you must do something different in how you act and vote this time around. Move toward change for the safety of your constituents. In the coming days and weeks I strongly urge you to push for passing bills such as these. We can’t afford to sit back and let political divide halt our progress on fixing this massive problem. Thank you for your time,
