Reject voting barriers, protect equal access for all citizens.

To: Sen. Johnson, Sen. Baldwin, Rep. Grothman

From: A constituent in Grafton, WI

April 10

The proposed SAVE Act poses significant barriers to voting rights and disproportionately impacts marginalized communities, especially women from lower income backgrounds and single mothers. Requiring documentary proof of citizenship places an undue burden on many eligible voters who may face challenges obtaining or presenting the specified forms of identification. This risks suppressing voter participation and undermining principles of equal access and representation in our democracy. We should aim to protect and expand voting rights, not erect discriminatory obstacles. I urge you to reject this legislation and instead prioritize measures that make voting more accessible for all eligible citizens.
