Good morning. I would like, as a constituent, to appeal to you to vote no on the recent bills proposed by Nancy Mace, specifically those requiring the use of lavatories based on what she calls "biological sex". The first one, which specifies the Capitol, is a single-target bill to insult a new member of the House. The second one is specifically set up to disadvantage and criminalize an estimated 1.14% of the United States population. Surely there are better things to deal with than this. Despite the shameful rhetoric of the Republican party, transgender Americans just want to live their lives. They are recycling 1980s propaganda they used against gay men to hurt trans people now. Be better.
