I am appalled at the blatant disregard for constitutional authority as Trump and his enablers, including Musk, continue dismantling essential government agencies, violating congressional authority, and threatening the stability of our nation.
Impounding funds appropriated by Congress is illegal. It was illegal last week, it is illegal today, and it will be illegal tomorrow. Likewise, shuttering agencies that exist by congressional authority is unlawful. Every day that Congress allows Trump to illegally usurp its power over appropriations, it is inching closer to handing him full control. That is not how our government works.
Let’s be clear: Trump has no mandate. He won with less than 50% of the vote. His campaign promises have been completely abandoned, and instead, he issues illegal executive orders daily that erode American democracy and weaken our position on the world stage. Surrendering American foreign policy to Vladimir Putin is not “America First.”
I am horrified that members of both chambers are tolerating Trump’s blatant power grabs, his threats against your colleagues, and his disregard for the Constitution. If you allow this to continue, you are actively participating in the destruction of our republic.
This is not business as usual. Show up to a town hall. Listen to your constituents. Read your oath to the Constitution and act accordingly.
It is time to stop this descent into tyranny.
Start in the House:
Impeach Vance first, then Trump, RFK Jr., and Vought.
In the Senate: No more unanimous consent—force debate.
Committee chairs: Start issuing subpoenas now.
Congress as a whole: Make criminal referrals to Justice and law enforcement.
Do your job while Congress still exists.
