I'm writing to ask you to oppose S. 1404, the Combating Organized Retail Crime Act of 2025 (CORCA), which authorizes a massive policing and surveillance hub inside ICE under the guise of “combating retail theft.” The FBI and DOJ already investigate organized crime, and involving ICE will impact local law enforcement and incentivize racial profiling. Please prevent passage of this invasive legislation, which would expand ICE involvement in our everyday lives and further endanger our communities.
