As members of Congress entrusted with upholding the laws and founding principles of this nation, you must reject any attempts to weaken judicial oversight or grant the President unchecked power. Protecting the independence of the judiciary is essential to preserving our democratic institutions and the rights of all Americans. I urge you to strike down these dangerous provisions that defy the will of the people and threaten the foundations of our republic.
