An Open Letter
To: Gov. Pritzker
From: A verified voter in Chicago, IL
November 15
Dear Governor Pritzker,
In these dark times, I am so proud and happy to have you as my governor. I was especially proud when post-election you announced that you were forming a coalition of governors - GSD - to fight against "increasing threats of autocracy" and strengthen democracy during
Trump's second term.
However, I was then stunned to see Gov. Polis's recent statement supporting Robert F.
Kennedy Jr. in his potential role at the Department of Health and Human Services. With Kennedy's history of spreading vaccine misinformation, he poses a direct threat to public health, and Polis's endorsement is incredibly concerning and disappointing.
I know you will be fighting against dangerous rhetoric and pushing back against Trump's anti-science, anti-health agenda — not promoting it. Unfortunately we now know we can't count on Polis.
You were our rock during the covid pandemic, and you and your team saved countless lives in Illinois. I knew I could trust you and especially Dr. Ezike. Public health is non-negotiable, and as your constituent, I request that you challenge Polis's support for RFK Jr. and ask him to align with all of us who stand for science, health, and safety.
Sincerely,
THIS IS A PREVIEW OF YOUR RESISTBOT LETTER
