No Military Raids on State Prisons

To: Rep. Crow, Sen. Bennet, Sen. Hickenlooper

From: A constituent in Littleton, CO

November 26

Military raids on state prisons should not be a discussion or allowed. Tina Peters was incarcerated after all due processes were followed. Being found guilty of state charges is no reason for the federal government to get involved unless they wish to press charges against the individual. The state not the federal government decides if a prisoner needs to be moved for safety reasons. Poor behavior and being written up for failure to follow prison rules doesn’t automatically mean a prisoner is endangered. Anyone suggesting a military raid should be investigated. Anyone participating in the planning of such a raid should have court martial.
