As of writing this, at least four schools across Iran and the middle east have been bombed. Countless children have been martyred in the very places they were meant to be safest. In any other situation, such brutal and merciless attacks on the most vulnerable of civilians would be tantamount to a war crime and yet this is allowed to go on unchecked.
Any loss of life is a tragedy, but each child killed is a future cut short, a family destroyed. Imagine if it was your own child.
I urge you to make sure those responsible for these attacks face the consequences of these abhorrent murders.
I also urge you to take immediate, tangible steps to ensure there is no more funding allocated for these attacks.
My heart aches knowing how much blood has been spilled using US money, using US weaponry, using US manpower. If I, who's only crime is paying the taxes used to fund this slaughter, can see how much blood is on my hands, how can you, who has so much more power to prevent this, look yourself in the mirror each day?
Are you not disgusted with yourself? Are you not horrified? How can you go through each day without doing everything you possibly can to wash the blood from your hands?
