I’m writing to urge you to support legislation that restores federal funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and protects it from future budget rescissions. Local NPR and PBS stations are vital sources of trustworthy journalism, emergency alerts, and educational programming—especially in rural and underserved communities. The recent cuts have already led to layoffs and station closures, threatening access to essential public media for millions of Americans. Please support a funding bill that renews CPB support and blocks the White House from using impoundment or rescission tactics to override Congress’s budget authority. Public broadcasting is a cornerstone of democracy and civic engagement. Let’s keep it strong. Thank you for your time and service.
