Please remove Mayor Eric Adams from office.
To: Gov. Hochul
From: A constituent in Bronx, NY
February 14, 2025
I understand why you might be on the fence regarding the removal of Mayor Adams. Not wanting to disrupt NYC is a valid concern. But now is not the time to worry about disruptions when our very way of life and safety is under threat from Donald Trump. Adams is not only clearly in Trumps pocket, but he has been a corrupt disruptive influence for the City of NY since day 1. Multiple members of his staff have resigned in disgrace and several have been indicted. The roughly 9 million citizens of NYC need to have someone who cares about them, not himself to ensure their livelihood and safety.
Adams is an arrogant, corrupt, dangerous man, who is also incredibly ill suited for his job. He won his primary because too many NY'ers stupidly hate women, and then he won the election because Curtis Sliwa is a Nazi. He had a chance to show us that he was up to the job and instead decided to put his friends and family in important positions so they and himself can increase their wealth.
It is far more important despite any disruptions to remove this negative influence on our city than to let a puppet of Trump continue in this position. We are NY'ers, we can take some disruption, especially if it will lead us towards a better future.
