Yesterday, this Republican administration officially stated that we can’t pay for daycare or healthcare because we’re fighting too many wars. Is that truly the Republican party’s stance? The United States is spending $1 billion a day for this illegal, unnecessary war with Iran. That money could have been spent on Americans. In America. That time and energy could have been spent confronting Russia and China. In burnishing our status as a global power Instead, we are weaker. Prices are climbing. Our position as a world leader is crumbling. Now, we learn U.S. fighter aircraft have been shot down over Iran, with one crew member still unaccounted for. To what end? The last time Iran held an American hostage, it ended a presidency and decimated a political party. My wife and I urge you to end this insanity and stop this needless war before more Americans are killed or taken captive.
