The Alabama Solution

To: Gov. Newsom, Asm. Bryan, Sen. Smallwood-Cuevas

From: A verified voter in Los Angeles, CA

October 14, 2025

I recently watched a harrowing documentary on HBO called The Alabama Solution. I am writing to ask you to please watch that film and take urgent drastic action to repair our incarceration system. How we treat other human beings, regardless of their crimes, reflects who we are. I do not want another penny of my tax dollars going to support the cruel, inhumane treatment of prisoners.
