Last night, we scored a historic victory for the democrats. But it is not enough. We must see full accountability of the Trump administration. They have ushered in an era of exquisite corruption and now is the time to investigate and flush it out. The existing leadership structure of congressman Hakeem Jeffries and senator chuck schumer and ill suited to this task. Congressman Jeffries has already commented that he plans to reach out to friends across the aisle to govern. I write to you because we are past that. We cannot extend the niceties which got us into this mess. I do not want us to squander this opportunity. I ask that you consider deeply going into the progressive wing of the party in choosing leadership for the next Congress. Now is the time to be on the attack with Donald Trump and his cronies rather than pass more harmful legislation because he will sign it. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. I hope you make the correct choice for party leadership.
