Stop Supporting Trumps and His Lies
To: Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz, Rep. Goldman
From: A verified voter in Fort Worth, TX
July 10
I am writing as a deeply disappointed and frustrated constituent in Fort Worth. I am appalled by your ongoing support of a President who repeatedly distorts the truth. Most recently, during a Cabinet meeting, that President dismissed wind energy as “very expensive” and “inefficient,” and claimed that only “smart” nations avoid wind power—a litany of falsehoods debunked by the Associated Press’ Fact Focus on July 9, 2025 AP News (https://apnews.com/article/ap-fact-check-joe-biden-donald-trump-wind-power-immigration-7799063d48235354ad638c782fdd5142?utm_source=chatgpt.com)AP News (https://apnews.com/article/5eb370dfb407b86a11d420917e4acaba?utm_source=chatgpt.com). The facts, however, tell a starkly different story: onshore wind generates power at approximately $30 per megawatt-hour—far cheaper than both new natural gas ($65/MWh) and nuclear plants ($80+/MWh). States such as Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico have used wind to stabilize electricity rates and boost economic growth AP News (https://apnews.com/article/5eb370dfb407b86a11d420917e4acaba?utm_source=chatgpt.com). Furthermore, the U.S. ranks among the top wind producers globally—alongside China and Germany—contradicting the President’s claim that “smart” countries avoid wind energy . Yet the President persists in peddling disproven conspiracies—that turbine blades harm whales, that turbines “kill birds all over the place,” and that recycling wind blades is impossible AP News+3AP News+3AP News+3 (https://apnews.com/article/5eb370dfb407b86a11d420917e4acaba?utm_source=chatgpt.com). These statements were discredited by NOAA, the National Audubon Society, and the Department of Energy, all of whom confirm responsible wind development and 90% recyclability of turbine materials AP News (https://apnews.com/article/5eb370dfb407b86a11d420917e4acaba?utm_source=chatgpt.com). It is utterly unacceptable that you continue to endorse a leader who undermines vital, clean-energy technologies with deceptive rhetoric. By doing so, you risk national credibility, and the economic health of our evolving energy sector. Supporting fossil-fuel dominance at the expense of renewables foolishly cedes a competitive advantage to other nations and disregards the well‑being of future generations . I urge you to reconsider your support of the President’s baseless claims and align your policy stance with the documented benefits of clean energy—benefits measurable in real terms: lower electricity costs, job creation, innovation, and climate resilience. As your constituent, I expect accountability. If you continue to support disinformation over data, I will explore every available channel to hold you answerable—including backing opponents in future elections.
