Yet time and again, presidents have bypassed this authority to advance geopolitical domination, resource extraction, or political posturing. This pattern must end. As a member of the House of Representatives, you have a duty to uphold constitutional limits and prevent the United States from engaging in illegal or imperialist military actions. I urge you to: Publicly oppose any military invasion, occupation, or escalation not explicitly authorized by Congress. Support legislation enforcing the War Powers Resolution and restricting funding for unauthorized military operations. Demand transparency and accountability for any plans involving troop deployments, airstrikes, or foreign interventions. Center diplomacy, international cooperation, and humanitarian aid over military force. The American people do not want endless wars, covert invasions, or policies that prioritize domination over peace. These actions drain public resources, endanger lives, and damage the credibility of the United States worldwide. Congress must act as a check on executive overreach. Failure to do so enables violence carried out in our name without our consent. I expect a clear public statement explaining how you will work to block unauthorized military actions and uphold constitutional governance.
