Oppose SWAMP Act, safeguard federal offices and services

The General Services Administration (GSA) manages federal offices and acts as the government's procurement arm. Recent reports indicate Elon Musk spent time at the GSA headquarters discussing plans to terminate leases for "mostly empty offices." Musk's Department of Government Efficiency has focused on terminating these leases, claiming it is the "first steps to right size the Federal real estate portfolio." However, opposing the Stopping the Weaponization Against Americans by Malicious Bureaucrats (The Strategic Withdrawl of Agencies for Meaningful Placement) Act would prevent Musk from pursuing this disturbing agenda against federal workers and offices. The Strategic Withdrawl of Agencies for Meaningful Placement Act prohibits using federal funds to terminate leases or downsize federal property without proper analysis and justification. Terminating leases without due diligence risks overcrowding, decreased productivity, and negative impacts on service delivery to citizens. Any GSA restructuring demands comprehensive review considering operational needs, employee well-being, and maintaining vital government services.
