H.R. 8281, the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, being reconsidered by Congress is of grave concern. There is no reason for this type of legislation because no state allows non citizens to vote. The intended consequence is voter suppression, which is one of the main goals of Project 2025 which Republicans tried to downplay. I would prefer that your time was spent on safeguarding our democracy and stopping Elon Musk and his young staff from illegally accessing and stealing our personal information to use against his competitors, shutting down government agencies that have pending investigations of his wrongdoing and policy violations, and completely destroy our country. I'm asking you to please vote NO on this legislation.
