**Oppose Politicization of Intelligence Community in Fulton County Election Records Seizure** I am writing to express serious concern about the FBI's seizure of 2020 election records from Fulton County, Georgia on Wednesday, particularly the troubling presence of Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard at this domestic law enforcement operation. This action sets a dangerous precedent that threatens the integrity of future elections and the nonpartisan nature of our intelligence agencies. Senator Mark Warner correctly identified the core problem with Gabbard's involvement. If she believed there was a legitimate foreign intelligence nexus justifying her presence, she violated her legal obligation to keep intelligence committees fully and currently informed of relevant national security concerns. If no such nexus existed, she inappropriately injected the intelligence community into domestic politics to legitimize conspiracy theories about the 2020 election. Either scenario represents a serious breach of trust. The facts are deeply concerning. FBI agents seized boxes of ballots from Fulton County's main office in Union City, with both FBI Deputy Director Andrew Bailey and DNI Gabbard present. County officials expressed confusion about the operation, with Board of Commissioners Chair Robb Pitts stating they don't know why the records were taken or where they are going. This follows a Justice Department complaint last month requesting all used and void ballots, stubs, signature envelopes, and digital files from the 2020 election. This operation appears designed to intimidate election officials and voters in counties that did not support the administration. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis previously indicted President Trump on racketeering charges for allegedly conspiring to subvert Georgia's 2020 election results. Seizing voting records from this specific county four years after the election sends a chilling message to Americans exercising their constitutional rights. I urge you to demand immediate answers about the legal basis for this search, the location and security of seized voting records, and the inappropriate involvement of the DNI in domestic law enforcement. Congress must act to prevent the weaponization of intelligence and law enforcement agencies against American voters before the 2026 midterm elections.
