I'm so tired of you guys deciding that "everything is settled and there's nothing the HoReps can do about the Government Shutdown." Get the House of Representatives working on a sane Continuing Resolution that includes Medical care. It really wouldn't take much to get a few Democrats to vote for it in the Senate if the HoR bill included something to continue the Obamacare benefits. My problem with Republicans saying "We'll fix it after the government re-opens", is that they've never done that. They get the government re-open, and then try to repeal Obamacare entirely. The point of OCare was that it would be IMPROVED over time as administrations worked on it, not that it would just be repealed with no options in mind. The ONLY option I've ever seen a Republican come up with is, "We have a plan." Republicans have no actual plan other than "kill all Democratic policies we can and pretend the free market can solve everything." Seriously, one of the usual Republican stunt legislation bills is "Repeal the EPA", including just one sentence that says "This bill repeals the EPA." This is the sort of insane governance that Republicans seem to think is somehow a reasonable idea. Stop wasting time on vacation and get back to work to help the Senate pass something that re-opens the government.
