Reject Brodsky and Gallo for Post Office Governors

To: Sen. Husted, Sen. Moreno

From: A verified voter in Athens, OH

July 29

As an Ohio constituent, I urge you to vote NO on the nominations of Jeffrey Brodsky and William Gallo to the United States Postal Service Board of Governors. Neither has postal or public service experience. Brodsky is a corporate turnaround and restructuring executive. Gallo is a retired commodities broker and entrepreneur. A FedEx-linked Postmaster General already runs USPS. Add a board dominated by Trump’s corporate insider appointees poised to keep slowing the mail and raising prices, consolidating post offices, and taking steps toward privatization, and you have a recipe for disaster. A Trump-dominated board will almost certainly weaken protections for election mail, putting vote by mail at risk for the midterms. A federal judge just stopped Trump from turning USPS into his election administrator, blocking ballots from anyone not on a Homeland Security citizenship list. The Senate must only confirm postal board nominees with demonstrated public service experience and expertise, and commitments to postal independence, timely election mail, affordable universal service, and supporting the postal workforce. Reject Trump's postal Board of Governors nominees. Vote NO on Jeffrey Brodsky and William Gallo.
