Regarding Constitutional Responsibility and Recent Events

To: Sen. Schmitt, Sen. Hawley

From: A constituent in Eureka, MO

December 4

War crimes. Illegal commands. Turning on allies. Turning state power inward on the public. Handing out pardons to people who tore at the foundations of our institutions. Quiet deals, shady favors, and back-room demolitions of federal property like the rules never applied in the first place. A governing style that edges undeniably toward the authoritarian. Insults hurled from the podium. Meetings slept through. Court orders ignored. Racial animosity stirred up again and again until it sparks. Pressuring state officials to invent votes that never existed. Manipulating district lines to keep a grip on power. It all stacks up to a rolling, daily attack on the Constitution—on rights, on public trust, on the rule of law itself. And pretending not to see it is like pretending the emperor is strutting around in royal finery when anyone with functioning eyesight can tell he’s buck-naked. The truth is obvious. Everyone recognizes it, even the people who insist they don’t. Impeachment and removal are overdue. TRUMP, HEGSETH, BONDI, PATEL, NOEM, and RFK Jr. have all violated the basic trust attached to their offices. Why accept this wrecking? Silence isn’t neutrality. Silence is cooperation. It gives cover to a pattern of lawlessness and cruelty that corrodes everything it touches. Do the work your office demands. Honor the oath you swore. The Constitution isn’t a suggestion—it’s the guardrail that protects all of us.
