congress I am SHOCKED that Brad Lander, the New York City comptroller, was just arrested by federal agents. What the hell is happening in our country? The now constant arrests of Democratic lawmakers are outrageous and unacceptable. We don’t live in a dictatorship, and, as this Saturday’s protests proved, we don’t want to. ICE is out of control. Kristi Noem needs to resign, Lander needs to be released, and the arrests need to stop. We MUST start using the power of Congress to stop this president and his out of control cabinet. In my neighborhood, people are literally disappearing off streets from masked men who are no identifying themselves and without warrants. As a woman, how do I even know this is an officer of any kind. What if they are a criminal? What if they are a rapist??? Please ask the Congressmember to make a statement saying as much. Thanks.
