In the wake of yet another senseless murder of an American citizen by Mr. Trump's federally funded ICE goons, it is well past time for Congress to uphold its Constitutional duty and serve as a real check on the administration's authority. What the last few weeks have made abundantly clear to all who did not realize it previously: this entire lawless administration is unfit to serve. Starting today, Congress must act swiftly and directly to pursue impeachment, conviction, prosecution, and sentencing for all members of the administration who enabled this lawless behavior. And above all, we must enact a complete defunding and abolition of ICE and a full overhaul of our immigration system so that unnecessary deaths of our own citizens and residents at the hands of our own government cease immediately.
