This Republican administration’s proposed White House ballroom was touted as being paid for by private donations. Now, the administration has announced the cost has ballooned to $1 billion and will be funded by taxpayers. Our economy is struggling, with people fighting to afford gasoline, food, and health care. This administration cut Medicaid and SNAP and other programs due to so-called “waste?” It started an illegal, unnecessary and costly war with Iran. We, as a country, cannot afford a luxury project. My wife and I urge you to vote NO on public funding for an overpriced and unnecessary ballroom.
