I strongly oppose the potential nomination of Kash Patel for a leadership role at the CIA or any other intelligence agency. Patel's track record raises serious concerns about his ability to be an impartial and nonpartisan intelligence professional. As a staunch ally of former President Trump, Patel was involved in efforts to discredit Russian interference findings and spread misinformation about the 2020 election being "rigged." Someone who has openly pushed conspiracy theories and politically-motivated agendas should not be entrusted with overseeing our nation's intelligence apparatus. It would severely undermine public trust and the independence of these critical agencies. I urge you to reject Patel's candidacy and instead appoint qualified individuals committed to truth and rigorous intelligence analysis free from partisan bias.
