Urgent need to resume aid to Ukraine

To: Gov. Newsom, Asm. Krell, Sen. Ashby

From: A constituent in Elverta, CA

March 4

I am writing to urge you to support the immediate resumption of aid to Ukraine. Cutting off assistance to Ukraine is not only a betrayal of our democratic values but also a strategic mistake that endangers U.S. national security and global stability. Ukraine is on the frontlines against Russian aggression, and their fight is directly tied to our own interests. If we fail to support Ukraine, we embolden authoritarian regimes, weaken our alliances, and risk far greater costs in the future. Our commitment to Ukraine is an investment in global security, one that deters future aggression and upholds the international order. Congress must act now. Delaying aid only helps Vladimir Putin, destabilizes Europe, and weakens America’s standing in the world. I urge you to push for the passage of a comprehensive aid package without further delay. Thank you for your time and for standing up for democracy, security, and our national interests. I look forward to your response and to seeing decisive action from Congress on this matter.
