I live in Texas. My children go to Texas public schools. My family works for Texas companies. My whole life is in Texas. I want Texas to be a great place for EVERYONE. I want ALL Texas children to receive the help they need in a fair and equitable manner. Section 504 helps to ensure all children are getting the help they need. I want all adults to receive the help they need as well. Section 504 helps to ensure all Texas workers are getting the fair accommodations that they need to be successful. I urge you to speak out against the upcoming case, Texas v. Becerra. Please reach out to Attorney General Paxton and ask him to drop this case. This case has the potential to ruin millions of Texan’s lives. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act is vital in protecting individuals with disabilities from discrimination and ensuring equal access to education, employment, and public services. Weakening those protections will harm individuals with disabilities. Please speak out on and support upholding Section 504 in Texas. Thank you for your time.
