To say the least, we woke up to disappointing, devastating news this morning when we learned that a convicted felon was re-elected to the presidency over one of the most qualified presidential candidates in our history. I’m writing today to ask that we make the most of the next few months before Trump returns to the Oval Office and Congress goes more red than it has any right to be. PLEASE do your absolute best in all your power to codify the right to abortion and protect bodily autonomy for people whose medical decisions should be between them and their doctor and not the government. Please protect voting rights, gay marriage, trans kids, and other marginalized groups from those that want to make their lives even harder for no reason. Take advantage of that presidential immunity!!!! We don’t have to be the bigger person!!! I am begging you, please get some good work done in these next couple months.
