To: Congressman LaMalfa CC: Senators Padilla and Schiff Republicans are lying about the shutdown. They alone are responsible for it. They want Democrats to trust them about negotiating the components of health care later on. Why would anyone trust a Republican at this point? And they are just sitting around during this shutdown. Why not hash out the details of healthcare now? Why wait? Oh! That's right! Because Republicans have no intention of making healthcare better. Democrats know this and are not falling for it. Republicans have shown themselves to be unreliable and untrustworthy in every way. Also, the shutdown seems very much about not swearing in an elected official, Adelita Grijalva, rather than any other reason. She will sign for the release of the Epstein Files. Republicans have betrayed the trust of the American people and are now just lying every day to try and gaslight us into thinking this is all for our own good. We are not buying it! Republicans should negotiate with Democrats right now and reopen the government with healthcare intact for Americans. Swear in Grijalva and get on with it! Stop lying to us. Do better.
