RE: Stop Stephen Miller’s Authoritarian Agenda
I’m writing as an Alaskan who loves this country and is deeply alarmed by the authoritarian direction of Donald Trump’s administration, especially the influence of Stephen Miller.
Miller has promoted ideas and policies that attack our democratic institutions and expand unchecked executive power:
• Undermining courts and calling legal rulings “rebellion.”
• Purging public servants deemed “disloyal.”
• Using rhetoric that fuels division and fear.
• Designing policies like family separation, the Muslim ban, and mass deportation plans condemned worldwide.
This is not leadership. It’s coercion. If you can’t persuade citizens without authoritarian tactics, you aren’t leading — you’re ruling.
I urge you to:
1. Speak out publicly against authoritarian policies.
2. Defend the independence of the courts and federal agencies.
3. Support legislation that restores balance and limits executive overreach.
Alaskans value freedom, integrity, and fairness. We need you to stand up for democracy; not bow to fear or loyalty tests. Lead with courage, not complicity.
