I am urging you to vote NO on the SAVE Act—H.R. 22 in the House and S. 128 in the Senate. This bill is a dangerous step backward for democracy. It is a voter suppression bill that responds to a problem that does NOT exist. Voter fraud is already extremely rare, and this legislation would only make it harder for everyday Americans to vote. This would prevent married women who have taken the last name of their husband, the elderly, anyone in a natural disaster who may have lost their birth certificate, and countless others from voting. This is is not and should never be the goal of a democratic government. Please stand up for voting rights and oppose the SAVE Act. Thank you.
