I’m writing to you not just as a constituent, but as a deeply concerned American. Recent investigative reporting has revealed that Elon Musk—who oversees companies with billions in government contracts, sensitive defense projects, and vast communication infrastructure—has been engaged in chronic and extreme drug use while simultaneously holding more power than any unelected individual in modern American history.
This isn’t about personality quirks or media antics. It’s about national security, public safety, and basic accountability.
Musk’s documented daily use of powerful substances like ketamine, Adderall, psilocybin, and ecstasy—while at the helm of Tesla, SpaceX, and Starlink—should alarm every branch of our government. If the head of a federal agency or a general in the military behaved this way, it would be grounds for immediate investigation and likely dismissal. Why should the rules be any different for a billionaire with massive federal contracts and access to some of our most sensitive technologies?
Even more concerning is the silence—or worse, the complicity—of our current administration. Musk was a key political donor and surrogate for Donald Trump’s reelection campaign and played a disturbing role in shaping policy decisions that harmed countless Americans, from devastating foreign aid cuts to the dismantling of critical scientific research and consumer protections.
Now, as Musk falls out of favor with Trumpworld, the narrative suddenly shifts to one of punishment—not for his misconduct, but for perceived disloyalty. That’s not accountability. That’s authoritarian theater.
We need real, nonpartisan oversight.
I urge you to call for a Congressional investigation into the security and ethical risks posed by Elon Musk’s conduct, particularly in relation to federal contracts, space technology, and his control over Starlink. There must be safeguards in place to ensure that no individual—no matter how wealthy or well-connected—is allowed to compromise public trust or national safety without consequence.
Please stand up for responsible governance and public accountability. If someone in my job behaved the way Musk has, they’d be fired immediately. Why should the bar be lower for someone entrusted with so much more?
