Hundreds of thousands of Americans are now demonstrating — peacefully, passionately, and in growing numbers — against Donald Trump’s abuses of power and ICE’s cruel, lawless actions. This stands in stark contrast to the January 6th insurrectionists, who used violence to subvert democracy. The people in the streets today are exercising their constitutional rights to defend democracy. Are you listening? How can you continue to support Trump’s reckless overreach and cruel behavior? How can you remain silent as ICE is used as a political weapon and as the rule of law is trampled? The people are speaking: We demand that you take action. We call on you to: • Publicly denounce Trump’s ongoing abuse of power • Demand the full restoration of the rule of law in federal agencies • Take legislative and oversight action to end the political misuse of ICE • Oppose Trump’s efforts to normalize cruelty and lawlessness Your oath is to the Constitution, not to any one man. The world is watching, your constituents are watching, and history will record whether you stood up or stood by. We demand action. The time for words alone has passed.
