Build a Bipartisan Illinois Family-Security Package
To: Sen. Arellano
From: A verified voter in Dunlap, IL
August 5
Please bring legislators from both parties together around an Illinois family-security package focused on the basic pressures affecting people in our region.
Families need affordable health care, accessible mental-health treatment, reliable childcare, housing they can afford, strong schools, safe infrastructure, protection from environmental contamination, and a fair opportunity to earn a living or operate a small business.
Please support practical legislation to strengthen rural and regional health services, increase housing construction, improve childcare access, protect drinking water, support family farms and local food systems, modernize the electrical grid, expand career and technical education, and improve services for veterans, disabled people, and family caregivers.
Funding should be transparent, fiscally responsible, and evaluated according to measurable results. Programs that work should be expanded, while wasteful programs should be changed or ended.
Please hold a public listening session in the Peoria County portion of the district and publish the specific proposals you will introduce or support during the General Assembly.
