Do you support spending the estimated $100M on a military parade? Have you thought about just giving the troops a day off to spend with their families and friends? The amount of time it takes to prepare, practice and then participate in a parade is enormous, training time is lost and this is NOT something that troops ‘enjoy’. This is NOT showing respect for troops – giving them the day off would show some appreciation. I would like a response – and don’t focus on the cost, I realize it’s an estimate. I’m focused on the members who have to be ‘on display’ for someone who wants a parade that resembles a North Korean dictatorship.
