No Absolutely No to Redistricting Indiana! Hoosiers are Against This! Vote No!
To: Sen. Tomes, Rep. McNamara, Gov. Braun
From: A verified voter in Mount Vernon, IN
November 25
I am writing as your constituent in Posey County to strongly urge you to publicly oppose the mid-cycle redistricting special session, which b we all know is cheating the system. Openly coordinating a map strategy with the President to “ensure the MAGA agenda is successful in Congress” is cheating. You need to stand against the President and stand up for Hoosiers - we are strongly against redistricting.
You need to stand strong and support all Hoosiers first — and we all deserve a stable, transparent electoral process that isn’t shaped around a national political agenda.
Indiana’s maps were redrawn in 2021 following the Census and updated again in 2023. Nothing has changed demographically or legally to justify another redraw now. When redistricting is framed as not a constitutional responsibility but as a tool to influence federal political outcomes, it undermines trust in our elections process and we all understand the reason behind this - to cheat. If you can’t win elections without cheating- maybe it’s your policies or the people running that are the problems.
To many voters — myself included — it looks more like a coordinated effort to secure partisan advantage ahead of 2026. I believe that legislators and governors have the responsibility to reassure their districts and their state will not participate in the partisan trend. You serve all Hoosiers.
I’m asking you to stay strong and provide a clear, public stance against mid-cycle redistricting and affirm that Indiana’s maps should only be redrawn through the normal decennial process, not through political pressure or special sessions.
