release epstien files/ swear in grijalva

To: Sen. Johnson, Rep. Moore, Sen. Baldwin

From: A constituent in Milwaukee, WI

October 27, 2025

I am writing as a concerned constituent to urge immediate attention to two urgent issues: 1. Release of the Epstein records The public has a right to full transparency regarding the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and associated matters. Efforts underway in Congress—including a discharge petition to force a floor vote on the release of unclassified records —must not be delayed. Citizens deserve to know what our government knows, especially when the allegations involve exploitation, trafficking, and questions of accountability. I respectfully ask that you support and push for clear, timely disclosure of all unclassified documents held by the United States Department of Justice, its component agencies, and other federal entities. Reuters +2 TIME +2 2. Swearing‐in of Representative‐elect Adelita Grijalva It is unacceptable that Representative‐elect Adelita Grijalva of Arizona’s 7th Congressional District has not yet been sworn in to serve her constituents, despite a certified election victory and precedent for promptly seating special-election winners. The Washington Post +2 DCReport.org +2 Her delay in being sworn in leaves about 800,000 Arizonans without full representation in the House at a time of government shutdown and legislative gridlock. The Washington Post Furthermore, many observers believe her swearing-in is being withheld because she would become the 218th vote needed to force the release of the Epstein records. The Guardian +1 This is not merely a procedural matter—it is about upholding the integrity of our democratic process, ensuring every district has representation, and preventing elected offices from becoming bargaining chips in partisan standoffs. The withholding of her seating undermines the trust that voters placed in the electoral process and delays necessary constituent services in her district. Arizona Capitol Times My ask • Please use your office to call on House leadership to schedule the swearing-in of Adelita Grijalva without further delay. • Please support efforts in the Senate (and urge your House colleagues) to force a vote on the release of the Epstein records and ensure full transparency. • Please make clear that no member of Congress or chamber leadership can deny a duly-elected representative the ability to serve simply because of partisan leverage or agenda. Thank you for your time and attention to these matters. I believe the public’s right to representation and transparency in government must not be sacrificed. I look forward to hearing your position and actions on these urgent issues.
