This measure would primarily impact New York City but would also extend to key areas such as Upstate New York, Eastern Long Island, the Hamptons, Montauk, and the North Shore of Long Island. By imposing this tax, we could create a more equitable housing landscape while generating significant revenue that could be reinvested into our communities. I believe this initiative would address the pressing housing challenges faced by many New Yorkers, ensuring that our state remains accessible and vibrant for all its residents.
