I finally received my social security statement for the year of 2026 in which you gave me a whopping 2.8% raise. This means I have an extra $40 a month that I can splurge with, whoopee? BUT the truth is food is up 8.8%. I'm afraid to find out how much my car insurance and house insurance are going to go up. The money is already eaten up before I even see it. This is a fact of life that you have decreed for seniors. That $40 a month isn't going to cover The cost of living!!! Do You think that I'm going to vote for you? Every month I get a reminder why I should not! And that's not even mentioning the fact that in 3 to 5 years the Social Security Fund is going to run out of money. Then I will take a 28% pay cut. YOU are hoping that I'm dead before then, aren't you!?! Don't count on me being gone before the next election.
