Vote NO on KOSA. Again. The Republicans are bringing up KOSA again in an attempt to save face with their extremist base and to continue to censor the internet. As we've seen recently with the payment processors, these attempts are not at all to protect children. It has been and always will be a method to silence women, the LGBTQ+ community, and minorities. No matter what, this type of legislation will always vaguely define what is unacceptable or vulgar, allowing for the removal of anything by anyone who isn't straight, white, and cisgender. This is never about protection. It is always about silence. Do not give an inch to any KOSA style bill. If you care about freedom of speech and the communities impacted by legislation like this, you need to vote no. For further proof this doesn't work, look at the UK laws around identification online. People have to upload documents and provide credit cards to websites with no indication of what that data is being used for outside of verification or who is looking at it. This is a nightmare for everyone. Vote NO on KOSA. Again.
