Reject fiscally irresponsible budget bill harming economic stability

To: Sen. Husted, Sen. Moreno

From: A constituent in Columbus, OH

May 22

The proposed budget bill would add a staggering $3.8 trillion to the already massive $36.2 trillion national debt over the next decade. This fiscally irresponsible measure would exacerbate the United States' unsustainable debt burden, jeopardizing long-term economic stability and compromising our ability to address critical priorities. I urge you to reject this bill and instead pursue a responsible fiscal path that safeguards the nation's financial future without compromising essential services or overburdening future generations with crippling debt. While the bill purports to fulfill certain campaign promises, its true impact would be detrimental to the country's overall well-being. The proposed corporate tax cuts and elimination of green energy incentives would disproportionately benefit wealthy individuals and corporations at the expense of working families and the environment. Furthermore, the draconian cuts to vital social safety net programs like Medicaid would leave millions of vulnerable Americans without access to essential healthcare and other critical services. This budget proposal represents a misguided approach that prioritizes short-term political gains over the long-term interests of the American people. I implore you to vote against this fiscally reckless and socially regressive bill, and instead work towards a more balanced and sustainable solution that addresses the nation's needs without mortgaging its future.
