I’m writing to express serious concern over the Trump administration’s continued dishonesty and cover-up surrounding the death of Jeffrey Epstein. The recent report that prison surveillance footage of Epstein’s final hours has conveniently “gone missing” raises serious red flags—not just about negligence, but about a deliberate attempt to hide the truth from the American people. This isn't just some bureaucratic oversight. We’re talking about the highest-profile inmate in the federal system—someone connected to an international web of child sex trafficking, whose client list allegedly includes billionaires, royalty, and even former presidents. And yet, somehow, while under your party’s administration and in a federal facility, the cameras failed, records disappeared, and now the story keeps changing. We were told Epstein died by suicide. But how convenient is it that the surveillance footage of his cell—the most critical evidence—just happened to vanish? Not once, but twice? This is either the most incompetent federal oversight imaginable, or it's a cover-up. Neither option is acceptable, and both demand accountability. The Trump administration has gone out of its way to minimize, distort, or outright lie about Epstein’s connections. From Trump’s own past praise of Epstein as a “terrific guy” to the ridiculous claim that the entire client list is a “hoax,” we’re watching a slow-motion whitewash of one of the most disgusting and high-level scandals in American history. And the silence from Congress? Deafening. Where are the subpoenas? Where are the hearings? Where is the outrage from lawmakers who claim to care about justice, child safety, and the rule of law? You were not elected to protect the powerful. You were elected to protect the people. And if you continue to stay quiet while the Trump administration erases and distorts the truth about Epstein, then you are complicit in that cover-up. The American public wants answers, not excuses. We want transparency, not conspiracy. And most of all, we want justice—for the victims, for the truth, and for the future of a democracy where no one, no matter how wealthy or well-connected, is above the law.
