Oppose combining with, and distance ourselves from Israel and their military

I am writing to express my strong opposition to any proposals or efforts aimed at combining or integrating the United States military with the military of Israel. While maintaining strategic alliances has historically been a component of national security, merging operational structures, command hierarchies, or force capabilities with a foreign nation fundamentally compromises American sovereignty and independent decision-making.
Furthermore, we must actively distance ourselves from Israel due to the numerous atrocities being committed by their military. Allowing American resources, funding, and weaponry to be utilized in actions that violate international humanitarian standards damages our global standing and implicates our nation in these devastating outcomes. Binding our defense architecture even closer to a military engaged in such conduct is unacceptable.
The primary duty of the United States Armed Forces is to defend the American people, safeguard our national territory, and uphold our unique strategic interests. Merging military frameworks risks entangling U.S. forces in deep regional conflicts, diluting national command authority, and creating constitutional challenges regarding who commands American service members.
An independent military structure is essential for maintaining diplomatic flexibility and moral clarity. Seamlessly binding our defense architecture to another nation restricts our ability to act objectively or pursue independent foreign policy objectives. It creates long-term operational dependencies that overextend American resources and compromise our own readiness.
National defense policy must always prioritize clear lines of accountability to the American public and the U.S. chain of command. I urge you to uphold the independence of our armed forces, protect U.S. military sovereignty, and firmly reject any legislation or policy initiatives that seek to integrate or blur the lines between the United States military and foreign defense forces.
