I am writing to ask a simple question: Why are you continuing to stand by while Donald Trump and his administration undermine our government? I have watched federal agencies weakened, career civil servants attacked, and public institutions that Americans depend on subjected to political interference. I have watched taxpayer dollars diverted to initiatives that appear designed more to reward political allies and punish perceived enemies than to serve the public interest. I have watched frivolous legal battles consume time and resources while real issues facing Americans go unaddressed. The American people deserve representatives who will provide oversight and accountability regardless of party. Instead, many members of Congress appear unwilling to challenge actions that would be condemned if carried out by any other president. I do not understand why you continue to enable this behavior. Your oath was to the Constitution and the people you represent, not to any individual politician. The message coming from voters across the country should be impossible to ignore. In election after election, voters have demonstrated their frustration with politicians who appear more concerned with partisan loyalty than with serving their constituents. People want leaders who will stand up for them, protect democratic institutions, and defend a functioning government. Donald Trump will not be on every future ballot. Your record will be. Do you believe it is acceptable to weaken federal agencies, attack public servants, and place personal and political interests above the long-term health of our government? If not, what actions are you taking to stop it? I am asking you to put your constituents first. Show independence. Exercise oversight. Defend the institutions that make our democracy work. History will remember who spoke up and who remained silent. I would appreciate a response explaining your position and what steps you are willing to take to protect the integrity of our government.
